Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical curative effect of acupuncture combined with massage intervention on neck strain. Methods: 90 patients with cervical strain were group into the acupuncture combined with Tongdu massage group and acupuncture combined with conventional massage group according to randomized parallel controlled principles of clinical trials. Results: the curative rate and total effective rate was 60 and 81% in acupuncture combined with Tongdu group, respectively, and 45 and 84% in the control group, respectively; there was significant difference of the curative rate between two groups (p < 0.01). Conclusion: acupuncture combined with Tongdu massage for neck strain displayed good effect.
