Abstract

Two hundred and forty patients diagnosed with anxiety neuroses were divided into three equal groups and treated accordingly with acupuncture only(AO), behavioral desensitization only (DO), and combined acupuncture and behavioral desensitization (CAD). The cure rates in the AO, DO, and CAD groups wer 20.0%, 26.3% and 52.5% respectively. The difference in effectiveness of CAD was statistically significant (P<0.01).
