Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of combined acupuncture and medication for osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Methods: A total of 100 cases with postmenopausal osteoporosis were randomly treated with electroacupuncture coupled with Calcitriol soft capsules, while the cases in the control group were treated with electroacupuncture alone. Results: There were significant differences in treatment effects between the treatmnet group and control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Combined acupuncture and medication can obtain a marked effect for postmenopausal osteoporosis.
