Abstract

Objective: To study the clincal efficacy of acupuncture plus ear-points pressure for insomnia. Method: All 156 cases were randomized into the observation, acupuncture and Chinese herbal formula groups. Combined acupuncture and ear-points pressure, acupuncture alone and Chinese herbal formula were applied in each group respectively. Results: The total effeciteve rates of the obsercation, acupuncture and herbal group were 94.2%, 75.0% and 78.8% respecitvely. This has indicate that combined acupunture and Auricular Point Sticikinmg could obtain significantly better effect that the acupuncture group (P<0.01) and the herbal group (P<0.05). Conclusion: COnmined acup8uncture and era-pint pressure can obtain a better effect for treatment on insomnia.
